Unable to add new search engines to CCCleaner browser

I have been using CCCleaner browser for a couple of years and like it just fine!  Today I was trying to use a new search engine called Brave but whenever I add it to the list of search engines it automatically goes back to DuckDuckGo, the one I have been using for searching and not to the Brave search engine.  I have tried everything I can think of including deleting all other search engines from the list but it goes right back to DuckDuckGo.  I have emptied all my cache files and history too.  Can anyone help me with this?

After adding a new search engine if you want it to be the default used in the address bar then you have to also set that.
