Moderators TwistedMetal Posted August 16, 2006 Moderators Share Posted August 16, 2006 SQL can be a pain sometimes. It happens on almost every site I know. Usually SQL is the first to go, it needs to be restarted every now and then. Moderators rridgely Posted August 17, 2006 Moderators Share Posted August 17, 2006 I checked this morning and saw the problems. I'm glad everything got fixed. I couldn't do anything at all if I was logged in. But strangely enough I could log out and browse around fine.
Eldmannen
Yeah, I noticed this problem too. Seems to be gone now though. Afaik, MySQL and PostGreSQL is pretty rock-solid. Sometime the hosts run out of space, so they cant write to the file or something.
zaphirer
Huh. I guessed I missed it? The forums went down for a while?
Moderators rridgely Posted August 18, 2006 Moderators Share Posted August 18, 2006 It was only for a few hours(I think.) I got on in the morning before I left and when I got home that afternoon it was working again.
Moderators Andavari Posted August 18, 2006 Moderators Share Posted August 18, 2006 Those SQL errors TwistedMetal spoke of are they those that I see every once in a while when visiting some forums, where it will state something like ("I don't remember the exact wording"): MySQL Error Line 43. Then again I've seen sites like that which never load and always result into an error page.
Moderators rridgely Posted August 19, 2006 Moderators Share Posted August 19, 2006 Idk it loaded to a white screen a big text box in the middle that said something about the database being broken or something...it was early in the morning. Moderators hazelnut Posted August 19, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted August 19, 2006 It came up as SQL error 145. I copied and pasted it and sent it to Piriform as I couldn't reach anybody here obviously. They sent me a nice thank you e-mail back as they hadn't known about it.
