fristroem
Hi, I was performing a driver update on my computer, and thought I'd let it work its magic without me doing anything to disturb it, which of course meant it went into Energy Save/Power Save mode in the middle of the driver update procedure. This caused a temporary crash of my computer which CCleaner are currently trying to reverse. Having a game up and running/watching videos and clips online blocks the energy save option from activating, so perhaps you should apply such a setting to this feature to avoid causing accidental computer crashes? Guest johnccleaner
Thanks for that suggestion; I've gotten this over to our development team as well for further consideration! Seems like it could apply to a few other portions of the program, too (e.g. Drive Wiper). If you had any trouble after the update reversed itself, I'll be happy to help out in any way I can, or please also feel free to contact our support team directly via the Contact Us form located here: https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=86507 or by emailing support@ccleaner.com directly for more assistance. Thanks, I've let the program work since I last wrote, but it is still on the same message that I sent in my picture; "Canceling the update... This might take a few seconds," I don't feel like it's working, so just how long should I wait until I restart the program to minimize any potential damage? Guest johnccleaner
You might check the Task Manager; if CCleaner is using effectively no resources, it should be safe to close down. (I wonder if it got 'stuck' due to the power saving event; it shouldn't ought to be doing that, but it seems possible.)

Alright, I did a restart of the program and so far it doesn't appear to be any harm done that I have noticed. Thx for the support! =)
Guest johnccleaner
Excellent, I'm glad to hear that no harm seems to have been done, anyway. You're quite welcome, happy to help! :)
