What's the phone number of the customer support in the Netherlands, please? I just purchesed the Professional version and it's driving me nuts. Can't really work on my computer like this. Just keep going around in circles trying to find the support. Thank you.

@Jenebou: are you after CCleaner customer support? Contact information would be in your order confirmation - ie: support@ccleaner.com.

Thank you! Yes, I mean the customer service. So I didn't get an order confirmation, I think. But I'm looking for the phone number. It's strange, I paid 44,95€ and keep getting directed towards this forum in English when I try to find help on the Dutch website.

In fact I'd like to put everything back to the way it was before I installed this awful "cleaner". It's all messed up and just made my laptop way slower. All my settings are gone: signed out of everything, lost all my passwords, apparently keeps removing cookies even though I tried fixing it through the extensions (but don't really know the right way), I constantly need to log in for everything each time I visit sites even though I check "remember me", makes me do security checks over and over again (Amazon, Whatsapp etc.), doesn't remember the sites I visited, changes letter size of all pages back to 100% each time again, etc. And it's become superslow in loading webpages. Probably the only way is to remove the cleaner and do a system reset?

In the top left of CCleaner it has Custom Clean, click it and you should see two tabs, Windows and Applications.  Click on both the Windows and the Applications tab.  This is where you tell it to remove or keep cookies, passwords, etc. for your applications.  Uncheck the box that states Saved Passwords, Network Passwords, and Cookies if you want to keep them.  CCleaner is a robust cleaning tool.  It is wise to click on each of the tabs and check the items you want it to clean and uncheck the items you want to save.  The application isn't psychic, it does exactly what you have it configured to do.  Once it deletes something it is deleted.

Personally, I delete cookies since they track your internet usage but keep passwords.  I mainly use the Custom Clean as that used to be the main clean feature before they created Health Check.  I have CCleaner auto delete everything but Saved Password and Crash Reports for my browsers.  I have all the check boxes checked in Windows Store, Applications, and Multimedia.  I have Windows Defender unchecked along with DirectX Shader Cache.

Their help files are informative and they contain how to videos if you are unsure of the settings.

Based on your comment I would recommend reading (or watching the video) the "How do I use Custom Clean?" link.

They have another product called Recuvia.  It finds and restores deleted files.  The challenge is that it cannot find a deleted file if Windows has written over the space the deleted item was in.  I used it to recover my sisters wedding photos and it was easy to use.  It saves us from spending $350.00 for a professional to recover the photos.  The photos were on a drive dedicated to them so I didn't have to worry about windows writing something to the "free" space where the photos were deleted.

As a final comment, anytime you install a program that is going to delete files off your computer, I suggest reading at minimum the FAQ for that program.  Most FAQ pages are bullet points to give you a high level of what their program is going to do.  This gives you the knowledge to make decisions on how you want the program to work on your PC.

@Jenebou: CCleaner does not provide customer support over the phone. With a user base larger than the size of most countries, and ~50 supported languages that would have logistical challenges.  If you email support@ccleaner.com in Dutch, they will answer in Dutch (although the autoresponder that acknowledges receipt of your request can be a bit random in its language choices sometimes).

Have you tried the support website at https://support.piriform.com/ ?  While the bulk of the content is in English, the most commonly accessed articles have been translated into multiple languages.

In the meantime, with regards to losing logins, etc - if you are doing a Custom Clean, then be sure that you have "session" and "saved passwords" unchecked if you don't want to lose that information:

If you are using HealthCheck, you can adjust the what is to be cleaned by clicking on the Privacy tab after you run the scan and before you clean:

Edit: I left this in my outbox for too long and Scott got in ahead of me on the settings advice :-)
