Moderators hazelnut 8 Posted April 3 Moderators Share Posted April 3 The personal data of over 500 million Facebook users has been posted online in a low-level hacking forum. The data includes phone numbers, full names, location, email address, and biographical information. Security researchers warn that the data could be used by hackers to impersonate people and commit fraud. https://www.businessinsider.com/stolen-data-of-533-million-facebook-users-leaked-online-2021-4?r=US&IR=T CCleaner documentation can be found here https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner Support contact https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/requests/new support@ccleaner.com

Moderators Andavari 2 Posted April 6 Moderators Share Posted April 6 My mother uses it, and of course her email was compromised via the https://haveibeenpwned.com link you provided. Moderators nukecad 9 Posted April 8 Moderators Share Posted April 8 According to Facebook's statements they weren't 'Hacked' they were only 'Scraped'. (So that's alright then ) https://about.fb.com/news/2021/04/facts-on-news-reports-about-facebook-data/ The average user is not going to be bothered about such technical semantics/jargon - Face-ache let someone steal their email addresses and telephone numbers and other data. Some reaction:https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/facebook-attributes-533-million-users-data-leak-to-scraping-not-hacking/ Quote Not all experts happy with the response While Facebook attributes this data leak to web scraping, this usually involves collecting public information from websites. In this case, attackers used a weakness in the Facebook 'Contact Importer' feature to mass query private phone numbers and then scrape associated public information that was returned by the tool. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
