Moderators Nergal Posted March 5, 2021 Moderators Share Posted March 5, 2021 lemme guess your browser is chromium edge? If not please tell us what it is. If it is type in your address bar edge://settings/system and turn off startup boost. That's what keeps your browser in memory and unable to clean. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. GeneralLee01
For your information. Another way to get to the settings menu is to press Alt+F or click the three-dots.. I changed the setting and will pay attention , to see what happens , when closing the browser later today,

Moderators Nergal Posted March 11, 2021 Moderators Share Posted March 11, 2021 beware everybody, my edge turned smart boost on after I had checked it was off when this thread was posted. So if your ccleaner stops (again) go in and check that setting (again). ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
