craiger
CCleaner has begun clearing Firefox History even thought I have unchecked it. Now, I only have 2 days of history - "Today" and "Yesterday" Why is this - and how do I get it to leave it alone?
Moderators nukecad Posted December 21, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2020 Firstly, are you using Health Check or Custom Clean? Perhaps more to the point - Did you run Health Check 2 or 3 days ago? Health Check will always clear your browser history, regardless of what you have ticked or unticked in Custom Clean.Health Check is meant to do that. Custom Clean allows you to tick/untick things for more control over what gets cleaned. If the browser history is unticked then Custom Clean will leave it alone. Health Check uses it's own cleaning rules, it takes no notice of what you have ticked or unticked for Custom Clean. Secondly, CCleaner will clear all of your Firefox history, it wouldn't leave the last 2 days behind. So having noted the above: I suspect that you have cleared your Firefox history 2 or 3 days ago. (Maybe you ran Health Check by mistake, or just to give it a try?) What you are now seeing in Firefox is your 2-days browsing history since you did that clean. PS. If you have run CCleaner's Custom Clean in the past 2 days then it has obviously not removed the Firefox history, as it shouldn't do if it's unticked. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
