RachelMC
I keep getting the Error STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION - usually when trying to open a Compose window in Gmail but it's happening on other sites as well. This might be solved by updating Chrome, but the CCleaner Browser version seems to be updated on my Windows desktop: CCleaner Browser is up to date Version 86.1.6938.201 (Official Build) (64-bit) Any help please? Moderators nukecad Posted December 16, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 16, 2020 The "Error STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION" is a known bug in Chrome and Edge Chromium. And as the CCleaner browser is also Chromium based then the bug may well be affecting it as well. The last I heard Google don't have a fix for it yet, updating your browser may fix it. (But may not). See this article: https://techdows.com/2020/07/chrome-crashes-with-status_access_violation-error.html There's a workround you can try if updating your browser doesn't fix it, see this article:https://www.chromestory.com/2020/05/status_access_violation/#status_access_violation_8211_Workaround If you are using Windows 10 2004 then there is another current bug in Chrome that you should also be aware of. (I don't know if this one is also affecting Edge and other Chromium browsers):https://techdows.com/2020/06/chrome-issues-on-windows-10-may-2020-update.html *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
