Paul2JPS
When "Make it better" is selected, the program closes before finishing the process. The display shows Privacy issues, Space issue and Security issue. When the program is restarted, the same issues appear and when "make it better" is selected, the program quits before completing the process. Help! Moderators nukecad Posted December 5, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2020 We could do with some more details and information. How is it quitting? Is it just closing down altogether, or is it freezing? Is there any error message shown? The usual questions , I can see you are on Win 10 Pro and CCleaner 5.74.8198 but: Which Windows 10 version? What Antivirus are you running? Any other security apps, firewalls, etc.? EDIT- Just to add to the above questions: Have you by any chance installed the Windows 'Optional quality update' (KB4586853) in the last couple of days? Have you tried running a Custom Clean? It it still closing if you do? Custom Clean may give more indication of what the problem may be. If you could do an "Analyze" first in Custom Clean and give a screenshot of the analyze results that would tell us what type of privacy/space files CCleaner is finding. Then run a clean and see if they are removed correctly. Also could you run Tools>Software Updater and tell us what it finds? (That's the equivalent of Health Checks 'Security') Don't update it just tell us what CCleaner is finding. Last question (for now) Is your browser synced? See the link in my signature below for why files may come straight back after cleaning if your browser is synced. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning?
