Troy Tempest
OS X bug - CCleaner Pro's "Run CCleaner" option (dropdown menu) does not work on Big Sur Version 11.0.1.
Moderators nukecad Posted November 22, 2020 Moderators Share Posted November 22, 2020 CCleaner for Mac has not yet had an update since Big Sur was released to market; no doubt there will be a few issues that are being worked on for the next CCleaner for Mac update. There are some reported problems with Big Sur itself, so any future patches that Apple may make could also complicate things.https://www.techradar.com/uk/how-to/macos-11-big-sur-problems-how-to-fix-the-most-common-issues PS. Big Sur is no longer OS X, it's a whole new version - macOS 11 *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Benalup
Hi all, I have a 2019 MBP and have previously used a paid for version of CC pro. Following update to Big Sur, CC does not work and hangs as "unresponsive" and shows same in activity monitor. I have tried to re-install but same issue. CC works fine in the windows environment under Parallels. Before I ask for my money back, does anyone have similar experiences and more importantly, is there a work around? CC is not on the list nukcad attached above and was working fine under Catalina.
Admin Dave CCleaner Posted November 30, 2020 Admin Share Posted November 30, 2020 @Benalup @Troy Tempest: We have CCleaner for Mac 1.18 working on BigSur in the office - aside from some minor cosmetic issues and missing some cookies in the latest version of Safari. Only known compatibility issue is with the new M1 ARM hardware. Assuming that this isn't a brand-spanking new Mac that you are running this on, can you provide some additional information that might help us diagnose your problem? Antivirus software, firewalls, custom networking configuration, etc? MaineJon
Is a new version even being worked on. I have problems others have described such as taking minutes to start and the cleaning failing 25% of the time - others have posted screen dumps of problems? I bought the paid version because the free hadn't been updated forever and hoped fixes would be made. Are these issues being worked on?

Admin Dave CCleaner Posted December 16, 2020 Admin Share Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) As per my note above, can I confirm if the folks in this thread are using the latest version CCleaner for Mac 1.18.30 (https://www.ccleaner.com/knowledge/ccleaner-mac-v11830) which was released October 6th, or an earlier version? Also we have had some feedback that some customers experiencing issues on BigSur 11.0.1 found their issues resolved after updating to BigSur 11.1 - indicating that 11.0.1 may have had some bugs that were fixed from Apple's update. Anyone still experiencing issues with BigSur 11.1 / CCMac 1.18.30 ? Anyone still experiencing issues with BigSur 11.1 / CCMac 1.18.30 ? I'm sorry to confirm, but the issue with CCleaner Pro v. 1.18.30 "Run CCleaner" option (dropdown menu) still does not work on Big Sur Version 11.1. This has been a persistent issue across all versions of macOS Big Sur. I have been running Avast Premium Security for Mac across macOS Mojave, macOS Catalina and macOS Big Sur. It is only under Big Sur that the CCleaner dropdown menu option is non-functional. I am running a clean install of macOS Big Sur, and security settings remain the same in Big Sur as they have in Mojave and Catalina (Firewall On, Stealth Mode enabled), and CCleaner v 1.18.30 has full disk access. I have a 2017 15" MacBook Pro, 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM. Any help would be appreciated.

Can I get my money back? CCleaner for Mac 1.18.30 does work on BigSur. Some users have been having issues with BigSur 11.0.1, and fewer after Apple's bugfixes with BigSur 11.1. If you are still having problems you can contact customer support at support@ccleaner.com for a work-around or refund (and try again with CCleaner for Mac 1.19 when it is released in the new year). Baz01
Had issues with CCleaner (Free) on Catalina (as noted to Reggie in Support - August 2020), not much better with Big Sur (crashing 3/4 way thru scan most often), and now the same with Monterey and most recently available CCleaner for Mac (still 1.18.30, I believe). Reggie couldn't give a timeline as to when CCleaner would work on Catalina, and two OSs later, it look likes nothing has happened. Hardly wants me want to consider paying for the product. I guess no interest / expertise with Mac products there. Its disappointing, as it is an app I once used successfully on my Macs.
