Septuaginta
I have Speccy Pro on a two month old Acer Desktop computer with an Asus motherboard: Manufacturer ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Model M32CD_A_F_K20CD_K31CD (LGA1151) Version Rev 1.xx Chipset Vendor Intel Chipset Model Skylake Chipset Revision 07 Southbridge Vendor Intel Southbridge Model Skylake PCH Southbridge Revision 31 System Temperature 120 °C Speccy show an abnormal temperature in the motherboard. None of the other components are this high, they are running to spec! Because the computer is still under guarantee, it has been back to the supplier (John Lewis UK) twice. On the last occasion they sent it to be tested by an Asus agent in East Kilbride Scotland. The board functions correctly according to both sets of technical support and they did not find the temperature of the motherboard to be at 120C as reported by Speccy. What gives? and if this is wrong how much confidence can we give to the other data produced by Speccy.
Saiph
Last night Microsoft forced me (with only 10 mins notice!) to update my Windows 10 Home 64-bit to version 1607, build 14393.187. I believe this is also called the "anniversary update"? A number of friends have posted that this update has caused them severe problems, so after it completed I have been checking my PC quite thoroughly. The only unusual thing I have noticed is that Piriform Speccy is reporting an abnormally high temperature for the motherboard system temperature. This is being shown at around 111degC. The temperature display was correct before the Win10 update. I tried reinstalling Speccy (v1.29.714) and alternating the options from 'metric C' to 'Imperial F' but this did not fix the problem. I have followed the advice in post #1 and updated my BIOS to the latest version, but again this has not helped. Manufacturer: ASUSTek COMPUTER INC.Model: H87-PLUS (SOCKET 1150)Version: Rev X.0xChipset Vendor: IntelChipset Model: HaswellChipset Revision: 06 (BIOS now updated to version 2003, release date 15/10/2014) Thanks for any help you can give. Coreinkb
I'm getting wrong temps it always stays at 28°C when it should be bouncing around from 32 - to 40 just depends how hot is the weather. Model H110M-H-CF (U3E1) Version x.x Chipset Vendor Intel Chipset Model Skylake Chipset Revision 07 Southbridge Vendor Intel Southbridge Model Skylake PCH Southbridge Revision 31 Note that this is DDR4 version because there's the same model of this motherboard that uses DDR3, Maybe that explains why my ram type shows as Unknown. merkxr
I just updated, about 15 minutes ago, to the latest version V 1.30.730 and it is now showing incorrect motherboard temp. it's showing 118 degrees C. In the four years I've used Speccy I've never had this issue. MB temps have always remained ~20(ish) degrees C. Please fix. colonelpatch
Today I updated speccy and it said my MB was 114c! there's just NO way it can be that hot. If I remember correctly the older version of speccy didn't even come close to displaying it as that hot. But sure enough..https://gyazo.com/2015e2c65401f8fab8d1c61ab5d52a86So I tried another program..https://gyazo.com/f458920989b0a31c1b2d8059845c6d95Same thing! if it matters I did dust/clean out my PC a few days ago and just gave it another quick clean just to make sure. I even booted into the BIOS and my BIOS said my MB was like 26c! there's just no way it can be this hot...am I imagining things? I got this MB maybe like...in the summer? Juneish? so it can't possibly be broke can it? does anyone have any other suggestions for checking my temp?https://gyazo.com/63494b8f4788a67e03dfdf235165a45d my CPU/ram usage isn't that bad either. So what on earth could be causing such a bad temp spike? So is this just some sort of API issue? I downloaded an old version of speccy and it seems to be displaying correctly. I got a friend to try and update his speccy but his is fine..Is anyone else getting incorrect temps from temp gauges?

Nerf Herder
Hello, I think the latest windows 10 update (windows fall update or whatever) broke something with Speccy. Motherboard temperature is showing 115 degrees. Same thing happened to me a while back, with the first Anniversary update (temp reading was fixed in a later release of speccy, thx for that)... Causticspit
Why are these temperature readings taking SOOOOOoooo long to fix in Speccy?
Moderators mta Posted December 10, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 10, 2017 we (Moderators) do not know, the only word from high is what has already been posted above. (sorry - can't even tell you the post number since this forum software was updated and that feature turned off!) personally, based on the duration of the issue, I can only surmise that the problem is either; bigger than Ben-Hur, not effecting program usage, no spare resource to investigate, investigated but don't know how to fix, very, very, low priority, all the above.
