Accidentally deleted entry in Programs to Remove list

I intended to uninstall, but accidentally deleted the entry from the list. Is there a way to undo that? What does deleting the entry actually do - does it delete anything from the installation other than a registry value?

It just removes it from that list in CCleaner.

It's been noted before that those buttons can be confusing and nobody seems quite sure why the 'Delete' button is there. (Presumably for if you think you would never want to uninstall something so don't want to see it on that list?)
We've suggested in the past that it be renamed to 'Remove from this list' or scrapped altogether.

You can still use the Windows uninstaller to uninstall the app you don't want.

Thanks. It's gone from the W10 Apps and Features list as well, so not sure if any third party intaller will find it either.

Is it still listed in C\Program Files?

it's a CAD program and it is still in C\Program Files. I have tried to reinstall/repair but it says that all software is installed, so can't get any further. I've looked in the Registry as suggested here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/247515/program-is-not-listed-in-add-remove-programs-after-installation

... but there's no entry there. Seems to me there's a strong case for and undo option for the "Delete" button

So if you have had it a while there is sometimes a chance that it is listed in Programs and Features in Control Panel.

Can you have a look?

Look in the program folder that the cad software is installed into, and if you're very lucky they used a standard installer that will have a .EXE file you can double-click to start the uninstall. They are usually named something like:
unins000.exe, uninst.exe, uninstall.exe

Edit:
The other option is if you by chance had System Restore enabled is to restore a very recent Restore Point which will restore the registry data needed for the Uninstall to work.

Which CAD software is it? (Autocad, Revit, Solidworks, BricsCad, etc).

I'm not aware of any uninstall problems with any of them, but I am active on a couple of CAD forums so could reach out there.

TBH I'd probably use Revo to scan for leftover entries following an uninstall.
If Revo can't see the software as installed then 'Forced Uninstall' from the pro or pro-trial will usually be able to zap anything if it's in their database.
