Instead we need to know what operating system you have. What security software (antivirus) you use. Was this offered to you as an update or did you buy it? If you bought it, where did you buy it from? The instructions were not clear. Anyway I went through whole procedure and I was accepted. I input exactly the same iinformation in thedialog box asI had previousl and this time it was accepted. Leperrey Posted December 5, 2020 Share Posted December 5, 2020 I had this same problem, it would just not accept my name even though it was correct. So I un-installed CCleaner and went to their web site and selected the option to get a prompt to remind me of my Licence Number. The email they sent had a link to download the software again and the important advice to copy and paste the Licence Number and my Name when I went through the registration process and it work ! Something like 99% of registration issues are from mistranscribing "I"s as "1"s, "8"s as "B"s, "5"s as "S"s or "2"s as "Z"s; or small differences like capitalisation between the the name used to purchase and the name used to register.
