doomed
Hi, I thought i had opted not to install the CCleaner broswer but after installing the free ccleaner it had installed your browser also and automatically imported all my bookmarks and passwords. Did I some how click something to approve this? I don't understand how all my usernames + passwords, bookmarks can be imported into your browser without permission? Moderators nukecad Posted June 24, 2020 Moderators Share Posted June 24, 2020 There appears to have been an issue with the offers in the v5.68 installer - the image for the offers flashed up but then sometimes dissapeared and just left the 2 buttons. Looks like it has now been quickly fixed once reported. (By stopping the offers for now). There should have been a pretty clear page with 'Decline' and 'Accept' buttons for the CCleaner Browser offer, but you may only have seen the 2 buttons so thought you were just accepting the CCleaner install. PS. Note the pre-ticked box there that will make CCleaner Browser your default if you accept the offer. If it's done that then open the browser that you usually use and set that as the default again. Do you normally use Chrome? CCleaner Browser is Chromium based so may just be seeing the bookmarks etc. that you already had saved for Chrome You may find that the browser install has also changed some file associations, and how their icons look. (PDF's are the ones that most people notice first). Again it's something that installing a new browser often does unless you tell it not to. If it has done that then it's easy to change them back, see this: https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/57890-don/?tab=comments#comment-318193 *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
