Greenpalmer
I accidentally deleted some mp4 video files and immediately recovered them with Recuva. This was successful as obviously nothing had been overwritten, and I had back the deleted files and they were the same size. However when I tried to play the videos I received a message from the video player program that the files were corrupted. I have examined the recovered files with a hex editor and they are completely full of zeros, so the video files have not been recovered at all - I have just been presented with zero-filled files of the same size as the originals. Is there actually a way to recover the original video files?

Greenpalmer
Hi, the original files were recovered from a regular external (non-SSD) hard drive to an internal SSD.
