Costero
Under CCleaner Options/Settings, I have the "Run with Windows" box UNchecked. Still, CCleaner starts with Windows on every restart or power up. I've checked my Startup folder, and CCleaner is not in there. In addition, whenever I exit CCleaner, it stays active in my taskbar -- kind of like an Android app. How do I simply exit in one click? I'm running Win10 64-bit and CCleaner v 5.66.7716 (64-bit).
Moderators Nergal Posted May 21, 2020 Moderators Share Posted May 21, 2020 The confusion is with the run at startup, this runs a clean at start-up not start the program. To stop ccleaner loading with windows turn off smart cleaning which will solve the other problem of being in the task bar as well ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
