Ccleaner Professional Plus installer doesn't start at all on my Windows 10 1909

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I've just bought my personal licence of Ccleaner Professional plus but the installer doesn't start at all.

Nothing happen when I double click on it with my administrator account, but I can find an error on the Event Visualizer.

To be precise, this error is:

"Client application registered 2 identical instances of service _camsource_637101865710665959._camsource._tcp.local. port 1782."

Origin Bonjour Service

Event id 100

Windows 10 PRO 1909 (build  SO 18363.476)

CCleanerBundle-561-Setup.exe

I have made some inaccuracies in reporting the error I received when I launch the Ccleaner Professional Plus setup.

The error to consider is:

"Popup of the CCleanerBundle-561-Setup.exe application. The application (0xc000007b) could not be started successfully. Click OK to close the application.

ID 26
Source Application popup

This happens under Windows 10 PRO 1909 (64bit).
I tried to launch the same program from Sandbox, which is still Windows 10 1903. The program has been installed without any problems."

I solved the problem myself through a work around.

I still can't understand why the Ccleaner Professional installer can't work on my PC.

I tried to launch it from another Windows 10 1909 PC and I could see that in that case the installer worked smoothly.

The work around consisted of uncompiting the .exe file via 7zip.
In this way I was able to generate the various installation files of Ccleaner Professional, Speccy, Recuva and Defraggler.
These executables were found to be launchable without problems.

The rest will remain a mystery, as will the fact that they have not received any response from the technical support. I expected to receive them in this forum. Too bad.

Did you raise a support ticket?

This is a user forum and everyone here is simply a user willing to help other users by giving their experience when they can.
This is mainly to help those who are using the free version and so dont' have access to the paid for support, but we will try to help everyone where we can.

You probably did not receive a reply here on the forum as your query seemed to be about a licencing problem which other users can't help with - you would need to contact support directly for those.

There are some Piriform employees who help on the forum, their user names end with either "CCleaner" or "Piriform". (eg. "Dave CCleaner").
Whilst they can give more 'official' help they are not technical support either.

To receive the technical or licencing support that you paid for with your Pro product then you must contact the support team directly.
There are email contact addresses on your purchase notification, one for purchase support and one for technical support.

For technical support you can go to: https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us and click on 'Submit a request' at the top right.
There are also many Frequently Asked Questions and their solutions on that page.

Alternatively you can email your support question to support@ccleaner.com

Just to confirm, we are investigating this and have experienced the same as you - that on our devices we couldn't produce the same error you got.

Do you have any antivirus running on your device? E.g. Windows Defender, Norton, Kaspersky, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc.
