ndlphd
Using Windows 10, Google Chrome, cc version 5.61.7392. I think I did clean registry also. Egs. of icons that do not open the programs: google chrome, weather.com, myzmainim.com. I can access these via internet, but the desktop icons stopped working. Other icons do work. Thanks for your reply.
Moderators hazelnut Posted September 25, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 25, 2019 If you still have the reg file you could try restoring it to see if that caused it. Timothy
unfortunatly you will have to delete those shortcuts, run cCleaner again, then drag from browser to desktop to remake them. cClenaer saw a problem in the reg that it deleted and by doing to fixed the reg. undoing it may cause more problems. ndlphd
Thank you to hazelnut and Timothy for you replies. For a different reason I needed to shut down and reboot, and when I did, everything came back working fine. An unexpected and happy ending.
