Stuck at 1st stage scanning

Trying to recover files from a completely different Harddrive.

tried using chkdsk f but no avail since it didnt allow me to do so. saying no direct access to the drive..\

tried changing drive letter but didnt work either.

then i stumbled an article saying that probably main issue is that the drive partition is broken/corrupted

its actually set in Raw at this point.

 

 

using recuva allows me to gain insight that all the files are still intact.. since i had to stop scanning and see if there is actually a chance of recovery..

did a quick rescan and stuck at 44% .

repeat a quick scan and stuck again at 44% same number..

i only want to recover files that is currently available on the drive without the need of scanning the deleted files.. 

 

trying to recover 300gb+ of files only
