Daniel Ng
June 16, 2019 11:15 AM CCleaner v5.58.7209 (64-Bit) identified that VLC (32-Bit) 3.0.6.0.0 is out of date and to update to VLC (32-Bit) 3.0.7.1.0 I have VLC (64-Bit) 3.0.7.1 on Windows 10 (64-Bit). According to the VLC Media Player updater, this is the latest version. See both images to confirm the problem. Please assist. Thank you.
Admin Dave CCleaner Posted June 16, 2019 Admin Share Posted June 16, 2019 Looks like you have both the 32 bit and the 64 bit version installed, with the 64 bit version up to date and the 32 bit version one behind. On the uninstall tab how many versions of VLC do you see installed on your PC? Daniel Ng
Sorry, I haven't been checking as often. I just got the email. I see both players but when I uninstall the 32-bit player, both are uninstalled. Now I don't have a VLC player.
Daniel Ng
Update: This has been resolved. This can now be closed. VLC player was uninstalled because both players shared common files. After purposely reinstalling the 32-bit player and the 64-bit player and using Revo Uninstaller to clear the registry of everything associated with VLC, I started with a clean slate. I installed a fresh copy of the 64-bit player only. Thanks Admin.
