mirage
Saved to the right of the penultimate version of the program. The new version does not prescribe cookies on the left. Like the others? I had to return the penultimate version 5.53.7034
Moderators Nergal Posted March 7, 2019 Moderators Share Posted March 7, 2019 Usually this is caused by the browser still being open when entering ccleaner. Try to exit all browsers (check task manager for orphaned processes). ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. mirage
Not a fool, I understand. With CCleaner 5.53.7034 there is no such thing, only with CCleaner 5.54.7088! Mozilla Firefox Browser 65.0.2. Okay, not deadly, I will use CCleaner 5.53.7034.
Moderators Andavari Posted March 7, 2019 Moderators Share Posted March 7, 2019 Someone else reported about the cookie problem too, not detecting or deleting in v5.54, located here:https://forum.piriform.com/topic/53534-ccleaner-554-not-detecting-or-deleting-cookies/
Moderators nukecad Posted March 8, 2019 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2019 Interestingly I just took a look at this with 5.54 and initially I was seeing the same blank cookie window. I left it open and without me touching anything it suddenly populated with the cookies after about 10-15 seconds or so. I can see this repeatedly now. Launch CC and immediately go to the cookies. It's blank for about 3 seconds and then populates. I'm guessing that the initial 10-15 second lag was because that was the first launch of CC since booting. So it looks like it's just a lag with 5.54 taking it's time to detect and list the cookies. It may take even longer if you are using winapp2 or another extension? *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
