Moderators hazelnut 8 Posted February 27, 2019 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2019 Released in 1995 by Macromedia, Shockwave brought interactive content and games to the web in a way that was never seen before. In 2005, Adobe purchased Macromind and all of their interactive web products such as Flash and Shockwave continued under the Adobe name. With developers moving their interactive projects away from products like Flash and Shockwave and towards HTML5 and WebGL, Adobe had decided to retire Shockwave on April 9th, 2019. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/software/adobe-sends-emails-about-retirement-of-shockwave-on-april-9th/ I don't think it will be missed.
