johnp57
Registry errors found & cleaned while running Ccleaner Questions : If I delete & repair them they return on rebooting system. Are they safe to add to Exclude list? cc_20190203_150441.reg `My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'Nothing beside remains. Moderators Andavari Posted February 4, 2019 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2019 That .REG file won't load/download and really isn't the type of thing to post on a forum anyways. It's better to post such things as plain text on the forum, or upload as a .txt document then anyone looking at it can't accidentally import it into their registry. "Registry errors" that keep returning are usually because Windows or some program is re-creating them, you can exclude them. Or don't clean the registry at all, and if using Windows 10 you're better off not cleaning it.
Moderators nukecad Posted February 4, 2019 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2019 I had no problem downloading that .reg file and opening it with notepad. It contains just 3 registry keys. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store] "C:\\Windows\\System32\\igfxTray.exe"=hex:53,41,43,50,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,07,00,00,00,28,00,00,00,e8,ab,05,00,1f,43,06,00,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,00,0a,73,22,00,00,67,07,7c,ba,c5,4c,d4,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,\ 00,00,00,28,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,00,00,00,00,8f,6b,a7,00,00,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,03,00,00,00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store] "C:\\Windows\\System32\\igfxHK.exe"=hex:53,41,43,50,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 07,00,00,00,28,00,00,00,e8,c1,03,00,80,7b,04,00,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,0a,73,22,00,00,67,07,7c,ba,c5,4c,d4,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,\ 00,00,28,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,00,00,00,0c,6c,a7,00,00,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,03,00,00,00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store] "C:\\Windows\\System32\\igfxEM.exe"=hex:53,41,43,50,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 07,00,00,00,28,00,00,00,e8,11,08,00,cb,8b,08,00,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,0a,73,22,00,00,67,07,7c,ba,c5,4c,d4,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,\ 00,00,28,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,\ 00,00,00,00,00,a8,6c,a7,00,00,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,03,00,00,00 The key is related to the executed programmes list. The 3 entries are all related to Intel graphics. igfxtray.exe is a 'Graphics Accelerator Helper Module' for Intel and nVidia graphics cards. igfxHK.exe controls video-related hot keys as part of Intel's Common User Interface. igfxEM.exe is the executable of Intel's Common User Interface. They should be OK to ignore/exclude. But as Andavari said you are better off (safer) not using the reg cleaner at all with Windows 10 (unless you have a particular problem). It will not speed up your machine or save space, and has been know to cause problems and even brick machines altogether. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'?
