DougS Posted August 2, 2018 Share Posted August 2, 2018 "Check for updates" ( lower right of the CC screen) result indicates the wrong version - it suggests a version older than that which is already installed. Moderators mta Posted August 2, 2018 Moderators Share Posted August 2, 2018 try and manually getting the update from here; https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds a pre-emptive word of caution, if you skim your eyes across some recent threads you'll see many unhappy users of the latest version, v5.45 there were also reported issues with version prior to that. so try the latest, or try previous versions available at FileHippo. Backup now & backup often.It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
