Can't disable System Monitoring in CCleaner Pro 5.45

Recommended Posts

Build 5.45 has been withdrawn (mainly because of the monitoring) and version 5.44 is now the latest download.

Seems (ccsetup544.exe) to be the simplest way to 'wait' until its 'fixed'.  None of the other suggestions worked here.  Not ready to try regedit.  Any ideas on how/when to know it has been 'fixed' ?

confirming this on the free version. I happen to still be on 5.45, but it's fine because I don't restart often except for Windows Updates.

thank you to everyone else who confirmed it's not just me.

also, I agree it would be nice to have a  right click option to close it with the tray icon.

As said above v5.45 has been withdrawn and you should revert to v5.44 pending further developments.

Went back to 5.44 (and that worked) and now update 5.46 is being offered.
Anyone know if that has fixed the problem ?

Yes 5.46 has the ability to turn off monitoring  (now called Smart Cleaning)

There is also a tickbox under the Privacy setting to untick as well.

I'm staying with 5.44.6575 probably until 2019. I just don't trust Piriform.
