So you want the CCleaner icon on the taskbar when you start up but dont want it to run a clean?

Right click on the desktop icon (or the .exe file in File Explorer) and select 'Pin to Taskbar'.

It will then stay there through reboots until you 'Unpin from Taskbar'

Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? See this link:

@nukecad actually I think the op means system tray not taskbar.

I achieve what you want by having monitoring enabled and run ccleaner at startup turned off. Not sure if free allows this as my copy of free is the portable version so I haven't tried.

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Of course,  I talk about system tray

Thank you! Finally, I do not need to minimize it manually every time on system startup.

Indeed, this does not work with the portable version of CCleaner (the checkbox to enable active monitoring is inactive), but works fine with the regular version of CCleaner
