Disk analyzer "other Files"

Recommended Posts

so a while ago I realized I didn't have a lot of space on my 256gb hard drive.  I only have about 33 gb free and that's after deleting a couple of things.  I got ccleaner, and I used the disk analyzer to see where all my space is being used.  It said I had 182gb of space being used to things, but only a couple of gigs where being used on labeled things.  176gb are being used on a label named "other files", but there is no way to select this or anything. I would just want to see this so I could possibly free up some space.     -Thanks

Other Files only shows content if you ticked Everything in Categories.

Or you could try a 3rd party program called WizTree from here; https://antibody-software.com/web/software/software/wiztree-finds-the-files-and-folders-using-the-most-disk-space-on-your-hard-drive/

Catergories is the section group where you tick Everything.

and good job on doing a backup - I would say "it's about time" but it's only too late if you needed one and didn't have one - so well done on dodging that particular bullet. :D
