laki
It would be nice if you could get the program to save the settings to another drive so you do not have to spend a lot of time re-setting cookies and other settings when reinstalling a computer because you can not backup ini files with backup applications
Moderators Nergal Posted February 28, 2018 Moderators Share Posted February 28, 2018 In options you can use ini for settings (don't remember the actual words). Then you can copy that ini into other ccleaner instances. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. laki
I thought it was possible to have the very current setup if one computer broke down, since no backup program will backup ini files
Moderators Andavari Posted March 3, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 3, 2018 If a particular backup program won't save the INI files into a backup you could instead create a .BAT file to copy the files elsewhere such as to another hard disk, or even use a ZIP program to backup the file to elsewhere. Example: copy /v /y "%ProgramFiles%\CCleaner\ccleaner.ini" "E:\Backups\CCleaner Backups"
