damn, that sucks.
use it a lot.
will have to eventually find something as good, free and without system tray icons.

wonder how Sourceforge will screw it up!

It's understandable though. The original idea of classic shell was to bring back the start menu for Windows 8. He only later decided to add different themes and make builds for other Windows operating systems.

Still, was a nice tool. It is open-source now, so maybe someone will fork it and continue. Don't know why he chose Sourceforge to distribute it. Sourceforge is pretty dead, in my opinion.

Not free but I liked start 8 on windows 8. They make a version for windows 10 as well:

I like the windows 10 start menu though, its basically the same thing as windows 7  the way I have it set up. Just a list of applications on the left and my most used pinned to the right.

its not basically the same as w7, more w8 with startmenu if it has one...
