CCleaner closing tabs in Chrome

Recommended Posts

I am using Chrome and have it set to reopen all tabs that were open.

Now, after running Ccleaner 5.35.620 I reopen my Chrome browser and only my pinned tabs are there. It closes all other tabs.

I have got Chrome to "Continue where I left off."

Is there something I can do in Ccleaner so it doesn't wipe out my open tabs when I restart Chrome?

Uncheck session in ccleaner's chrome section, this should keep the wanted tabs. Please come back if this doesn't solve the issue :)

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

But does this work?
DO I have to close Chrome Manually before running CCleaner?
Sessions was unchecked, and all my tabs were still losts.
:(

Never Mind
Clearly I had NOT set "Continue where I left off."
It would have been nice if CCleaner had warned me before WHOOPS all my tabs are gone.

This is an old post from before Easy Clean / Health Check.

However your issue seems to have been with a setting in Chrome itself and nothing to do with CCleaner.

But to be sure.

Are you using Health Check or are you using Custom Clean?

Ticking or unticking catagories is part of Custom Clean and only works in Custom Clean.

Health Check will always do it's own thing it will not take any notice of your ticks/unticks.

Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? See this link:
