Adware/hijacker affecting Galaxy S6

I got CCleaner because I understood it would be good to help prevent Adware. My phone has anti-virus and anti-malware protection. I don't visit sites likely to contain malware.

Therefore, it was a huge surprise to get a browser re-direct and an ad.

I ran scans, flushed browser cache, and ran CCleaner.  When I ran CCleaner, after I did Analyze, there was an ad displayed for an app supposedly in the Play Store displayed in CCleaner.

Finally, I uninstalled and re-installed CCleaner. This seems to have gotten rid of the problem. I thought this solved the problem. But, no.

So, it seems that CCleaner has some kind of vulnerability.   I'm sorry that I didn't record the version number prior to uninstall/reinstall, but it was originally installed within the last year.
