radhx99
Hi, Recently I installed an Anti-Ransomware software called Cybereason RansomFree. As per Cybereason, their software creates "Canary" files at various places on the hard disk to bait the Ransomware for detecting its behavior and stopping it in time. Will CCleaner delete these/such files too, which might affect the working of Cybereason? Regards.
Moderators hazelnut Posted July 2, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 2, 2017 Easiest way to tell would be to open CCleaner.. run Analyse.. and look at the list of files it wants to clean. If they are in a certain area (eg TEMP) then in the Analyse list find that and right click on it and select ''View detailed list'' Then you can just close CCleaner without cleaning. radhx99
Thanks Haze. Did that and CCleaner did not display anything different than usual files. Ran the cleaner and everything is working fine. Thanks for the help. Regards.
