Bob546
Hi, At some point either with the latest CCleaner update to version 5.27.5976 (64-bit version) or the latest Windows 10 update (Version 1607, update 14393.693) I've noticed CCleaner does not change the Recycle Bin icon to "empty" after a clean. It does properly empty the recycle bin, but the icon doesn't make the switch from "full" to "empty" at the end of the process. Just a minor bug I know, but I wanted to report it. Note that opening the recycle bin and looking at the empty bin will change the icon to the proper "empty" view.
Moderators hazelnut Posted March 11, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 11, 2017 It's Windows that is in charge of the recycle bin showing empty not CCleaner You can either just press F5 keyboard button to refresh the desktop or right-click on your desktop and select refresh. This will then show the empty recycle bin icon. There are fixes around involving the registry etc, but if you are okay just doing the above then just do that. Is the recycle bin icon the default one or a custom one?
