michelle9491
Hi all. I used the search function & couldnt find anything to help so figured I would ask the gurus on here. I have been using CCleaner for years with no issues. But the last time I used it, it deleted or hid several of my excel documents that I really need for work. Is there anything I can do to get them back? Thanks for you help!!
Moderators mta Posted March 9, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 9, 2017 G'day michelle and welcome, firstly, do you know where those Excel files were stored and what was their full name (with extension). because, if they had a non-standard extension or location they may have been picked up with the normal selection of crap to be removed. especially if you have customised INCLUDE's or use winapp2.ini or other enhancements. so it only deleted a few, not 1 or not all? have you checked the Recycle Bin (just in case) and what about backups? also, in Excel, it can be set to create a backup, is there any .XLK files where your Excel files were? Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
