Defraggler is taking much longer to defrag Window 10 than previously

My Windows 10 Operating System and Programs are contained within 25GB of data on a separate 60GB HDD. Defraggler used to be able to defragment this HDD comfortably in less than 30 minutes; but now it is taking over 2 hours. I have been unable to identify any fundamental change in the data held on the file, nor any cause for the sudden increase in time required.

G'day Peter and welcome,

 

what DF version are you using?

and has the version changed between the 30min run and the 2hr run?

has Win10 build number also changed?

Backup now & backup often.
It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.
Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.
