beyond3
Google Chrome still will not be cleaned even after changing the syncing settings as well as unchecking "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed". I've attached a photo of my Ccleaner so in hopes that an answer can be found.

(quickest method is to hold down Shift while clicking Restart) rerun CC. does it still skip Chrome? I have Windows 8.1. and have never used Safe Mode. What is the best (simplest) way to exit Safe Mode?

Iowa
same as Windows 10, when shutting down the PC, instead of Shut Down, hold the Shift key and click Restart. Just to be clear, we use the same steps to exit as those we deploy when going INTO safe mode?

salb4
Something is changed: Google chrome is skipped Every time I open and clean with CC it says chrome must be shutdown first. OK after uinstalling all apps and extensions, and turning off keep google in ram ticks, it still says close chrome? I Downloaded and tried another cleaner, same issue chrome is running, BUT it is not in process list task manager-All process checked. I uninstalled chrome= Same issue chrome needs to be closed. BTW in cleaner browser helpers- chrome apps are untouchable- protected by browser. can anybody tell me what is going on, with Chrome ? Beginning to think Google is a virus. sarcasm
