striegel Posted December 29, 2016 Share Posted December 29, 2016 Just for information: Now the Windows Compatibility Assistant blocks also the installation of the latest CC if the filename of the setup file includes the word "CCleaner" (e.g. "ccsetup525.exe" works, but "CCleaner_5.25.exe" doesn't work). This was exactly the help I needed. Thank you. As others have said, it has been my practice to rename downloaded files to be better self-documenting.
