ronlee67 Posted July 16, 2016 Share Posted July 16, 2016 When running CCleaner analyzer the report shows several applications that will be presumably removed if I run CCleaner. I don't want some of these applications removed and don't understand why CCleaner chose them to be deleted. For instance it shows both Office 2003 and Office 2007 to be deleted. I have various component programs of the Office series that I use (Excel 2007, Outlook 2007, Word 2007, Powerpoint 2007, Access 2003.) It seems unlikely that CCleaner is designed to remove programs by default and am guessing these entries are for temporary files associated with those programs... BUT..... there is no specific statement to that effect. So I have chose not to run CCleaner until the question is resolved. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

After running analysis, you can double-click any entry in the right hand pane and see the detail of what junk files are to be removed. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. login123 Posted July 18, 2016 Share Posted July 18, 2016 If you click on Tools > Uninstall CCleaner will indeed uninstall whichever software you click on. But if, as you said, you are in Cleaner > Applications then it will only clear out the junk. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers.
