jspen46 0
I'm a new user with the freeware version. Two suggestions: (1) I _hate_ the pop-up windows suggesting I clean. There should be a way to disable the pop-ups. (2) I can find no documentation on what happens if I click the "Take Action" box in a pop-up window. Does it start cleaning, or does it take me to a window where I can control the cleaning process?
Moderators mta 0 Posted June 28, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 28, 2016 sounds like you have Monitoring turned on. in CC, go to Options, Monitoring, untick all the boxes and the pop-ups will stop. (right click CC in the system tray and kill it to stop the current monitoring) Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. Moderators nukecad 9 Posted June 29, 2016 Moderators Share Posted June 29, 2016 Err, that is not Ccleaner. It's TFC, a different programme. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? jspen46 0
I now think it's WinZip that's doing the pop-ups, not CCleaner -- based on the vice logo. If so, I didn't realize WZ had a clean function. I've uninstalled WZ to see if that solves my problem. Apologies for looking in the wrong direction, but the pop-ups started right after I installed CCleaner.
