rdwray
It seems it would be fast to defragment the files when they are moved for rewrite and leaving the space empty rather than having to moving fragments to allow space for writes. 1. Find fragmented file. 2. Move file to empty location for rewrite. 3. Defragment the file and empty the location where the fragments were. 4. Later the file is written back to its proper location. In the mean time the location is empty for files that belong there. Defraggler seems to be slow compared to Windows defragmenter.
