I've been "defraggling" for several days now. I run it during the day while home, then shut it down when I power off the machine and go to bed, restarting the process the next day.

The remaining time goes from "> 1 day" to as low as 3 hours. But then it goes back up to "> 1 day".

I'm just curious.

Am I making progress?

are there any active sheduled processes in this time?

no internet, av-scan, updates or something and no usage during the defragmentation i would suggest...

scheduled processes?

not understanding your question.

do you mean am I using the computer?

yes. I use it non stop. If I am home, it is on and I am using it. Browsing the web, writing job application letters, sending resumes. Non Stop.
