Well, to take nit-picking even further the actual name is really Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, as seen it the program's title bar and in Help/About.

But in Start, All Program list, it shows as Acrobat Reader DC - so go figure.

I think people get the gist though.

If you run CC with the /EXPORT switch you'll see exactly the DETECT used to determine is Adobe is still lingering on your PC.

Backup now & backup often.
It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.
Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last.

After using the /EXPORT switch, I see that they have HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC in Detect. I think they should use this one instead: HKLM\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC

[Adobe Reader DC]
ID=2407
LangSecRef=3021
Detect=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC
Default=True
RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVGeneral\cRecentFiles
RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVGeneral\cRecentFolders
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Cache|*.lst
FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Adobe\Acrobat\DC|*.lst
FileKey3=%LocalLowAppData%\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Search|*.*
