I knew space is big.... really really big (thank you Douglas Adams) but this may give a little insight on the distance to one of our closest neighbours.

I thought you might be too young to remember, but I remember being annoyed, with Barry Humphries, because I preferred Sir Les to Dame Edna.

Barry definitely had the lecherous Les down as the supporting act.

From a cable channel science show I watched years ago astronomers stated the Earth is on the outer edges of Jupiter's massive gravity.

surprising? - kind of! :) , it is the Sun, sitting at the bottom of our solar system-wide gravity well after all, that keeps all 9 planets in orbit. (yes 9, it will always be 9 from this old boys' schooling)
