Willy2
Came across a "How to Geek" article that has a very positive opinion on Internet Explorer 10 & 11. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32372/htg-explains-why-do-so-many-geeks-hate-internet-explorer/ The article also explains why IE 10 & 11 are actually much safer than previous versions. Malware now targets Chrome more & more because Chrome is used much more. The article above refers to another HTG article that tells that extensions are collecting information. But that information gathering can also be disabled in some cases. System setup: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/gcNzIPEjEb0B2khOOBVCHPc A discussion always stimulates the braincells !!! Moderators hazelnut Posted June 18, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 18, 2015 Don't know if you noticed Willy but both of those articles are from last year. However I do rate IE11 quite highly. Willy2
@Hazelnut: - I know !!!! But since I (still) use & like IE, I wanted to bring this to the attention of the readers of this forum. Indeed, IE 11 is much better than the previous ones (IE 8, 9 & 10) - Tried Firefox and Chrome but didn't like those browsers too much, for a number of reasons. - I was/am reducing the amount of emails and wanted to share these articles. eL_PuSHeR
Indeed. Latest IE incarnations are not that bad. I still prefer third party browsers anyway. Keep in mind that upon the arrival of Windows 10, IE will be no more.
Moderators hazelnut Posted June 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 19, 2015 That's right. Internet Explorer is now called Edge... and it has a password manager http://www.neowin.net/news/microsofts-new-edge-browser-has-a-password-manager-heres-how-it-works Support contact https://support.ccleaner.com/s/contact-form?language=en_US&form=general or support@ccleaner.com
Moderators mta Posted June 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 19, 2015 personally I thought Spartan was a better name then Edge. Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. You control the last. Moderators hazelnut Posted June 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted June 19, 2015 personally I thought Spartan was a better name then Edge. Probably Edge won so they could keep the big 'E' logo.
