Moderators Nergal Posted May 31, 2015 Moderators Share Posted May 31, 2015 Usually, this is not the issue (unless you are trying to run the installer not as an admin with elevated access (UAC). 99.9% of this issue (error opening file for writing) is caused by ccleaner still being open (perhaps minimized to the system tray) or renaming the installer "ccleaner.exe" ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T. niceblossom Posted January 29, 2016 Share Posted January 29, 2016 I am using Windows 8.1 Pro. When I try to install CCleaner then I get this error message. I cannot delete the CCleaner folder from C Drive, even I cannot open that folder too but that folder is Empty folder. Please help me to solve this problem...
