pompste
Is there some link or info that will show which AV`s Ccleaner cleans? Just went to Bitdefender Free AV and noticed it`s not listed on my Ccleaner utility list. Thanks for any help.
Moderators mta Posted December 29, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 29, 2014 a few options; use the /debug switch to create winapp1.ini and it'll show what's natively done by CC. use winapp2.ini to get extra things cleaned, and see what it already covers. or use INCLUDES to add your own custom cleaning. (there's a bell ringing in my head that there is another option but the thought just won't form ) Backup now & backup often. It's your digital life - protect it with a backup.Three things are certain; Birth, Death and loss of data. Moderators Andavari Posted December 29, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 29, 2014 This is what it cleans for BitDefender, looks old though: [BitDefender] ID=2306 LangSecRef=3024 Detect=HKLM\Software\Softwin\BitDefender Desktop Default=False FileKey1=%ProgramFiles%\BitDefender\BitDefender 2009\Logs|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%CommonAppData%\BitDefender\Desktop\Profiles\Logs|*.xml|RECURSE FileKey3=%AppData%\BitDefender\Desktop\Profiles\Logs|*.xml|RECURSE (there's a bell ringing in my head that there is another option but the thought just won't form ) Resource Hacker (freeware), then load CCleaner.exe into it (but do not save) and use 'View > Find Text' which is its search function. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
