Ccleaner, Windows XP and Windows Defender

Hello, :)

First something you might have heard a thousand times, CC is an excellent programme keep up the good work. ;)

Do you know if CCeaner removes any cookies, files and or registry keys-subkeys necessary for :

1) Windows XP services and functions (updates etc) and or

2) Windows Defender functions ?

What can I do to prevent this from ever happening ?

Thank you for your time

CCleaner will not remove any registry entries or files necessary for Windows functions and Windows Defender. The only semi-useful feature that CCleaner can remove is your Hotfix uninstallers for your Windows Updates. By removing these, you save tons of space (literally, hundreds of megabytes), but then if you ever want to uninstall an update in the future, you can't.

However, there really isn't any compelling reason to uninstall a Windows Update (unless it contains a bug, in which case Microsoft will hopefully immediately patch it), so if you are like me, and you appreciate free space, feel free to check that box. Otherwise, if you plan on removing any updates, go ahead and leave it blank.

Either way, CCleaner won't hurt anything on your system. :)

She??? Did you mean He?

No, no, see, that's Mike Rochip's sister. She has caused a bit of confusion, though. We told her to try doing something different with her hair, but everytime she gets upset (or electrocuted), it always goes back to that. Poor girl...
