DeeBeeS
I have used Ccleaner for some time now and I have just updated to the new version. I have a small problem under the heading Windows: Internet Explorer is shown which is correct however under the heading Applications: Firefox/Mozilla is shown. I have tried Firefox but was not all taken with it so I removed it from my system. I now only use IE. Can anyone advise as to how I can correct this please? vecchio
you have to delete any reference about firefox mozila in your computer tray this: look for start/search check the option for search for ocult files and write "firefox" on the search bar. wellcome
dietpepsicola
Uninstalling applications using the uninstaller that came with the application can be messy,i.e. leaves registry residue, files in your program folder, etc. In order to keep a truely clean machine, next time you have some change in your pocket buy an uninstaller, you run it while you install an application and it monitors every little thing that an application does to your system. I use total uninstall,http://www.martau.com/ and love it,but there are others, search betanews.com, you might actually find a freeware one,i'm not sure. DeeBeeS
Thankyou both for your quick replies. I have done a search as suggested and found numerous Firefox files. I obviously did not delete them all. Anyway I got rid of them also deleted CCleaner and reinstalled - success all back as it should be. Thanks again.
