mps69_1999
Can any of you guys recommend software for editing PNG files? Free opensource would be better. I had a look at the stuff in the freeware topic, but frankly there are so many I was hoping someone could narrow it down a bit. Moderators Andavari Posted February 7, 2006 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2006 Along with the already mentioned Paint.NET you could use Microsoft Paint if you have something really simple you want to do with PNG's like add text or something else. If you only want to resize a PNG there's also the freeware (not open source) IrfanView and XnView.
Eldmannen
Adobe Photoshop can edit PNG files. Probably PaintShop Pro (PSP) can do so too. But if you want an open-source software, then try GIMP. http://www.gimp.org/
