Icanhopegp
recuva works great and finds files and I can recover them. the problem is I want the files off my disk but can not locate them. I have run wipe on ccleaner and used Mil Shield to delete files yet recuva keeps finding them but only shows the location of C:? so I can not really go to that place and delete them. any suggestions anyone. kroozer
. . . only shows the location of C:? so I can not really go to that place and delete them. any suggestions anyone. In Options\ Actions\ Recovering\ Secure overwriting, select Simple Overwrite (1 pass), ok. Scan, right-click the results and select List view. Click on the heading Path to sort files. Hilite the C:\?\ items Right-click and Secure Overwrite Highlighted And here is a guide to using Recuva. http://www.piriform.com/docs/recuva
Moderators Augeas Posted January 18, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2014 I don't know what 'run wipe' means. If you haven't, run Wipe Free Space (one pass) with Wipe MFT checked. That should overwrite all your deleted files.
